About Us
How We Got Started
Like many, Pageonce Co-Founder Guy Goldstein took advantage of the convenience of managing personal accounts online. He used his work email to set up all of his online accounts. However, the trouble came when he switched jobs and his old email account was shutdown. He went through the process of trying to recall passwords and usernames of online accounts that had been established years and years before. When he finally did remember a username, the provider, for security reasons, could only send the password to the closed down email account. This frustrating cycle went on for weeks and became a real hassle. Ultimately, he was forced to create all new Internet accounts.
Goldstein and Co-Founder Ahikam Kaufman, colleagues from Mercury Interactive (acquired by Hewlett-Packard), thought there had to be a better way and the vision for Pageonce was born. They were very familiar with past attempts to aggregate personal information, particularly in consumer finance. They had also seen progress in the area of passwords with single digital identity and were very impressed by the recent wave of personal portals. Goldstein and Kaufman realized both the shortcomings and potential of all the current offerings and, in the spirit of Silicon Valley, created something truly unique.
